Abstract
This study analyzed the change trends of drinking factors of Koreans using Korea Labor and Income Panel Study(KLIPS) data from the 8th to 19th year. First, as for the drinking frequency, the rate of ¡°less than once a month¡±, ¡°1-2 times a week¡± and ¡°3-4 times a week¡± were decreasing while the rate of ¡°2-3 times a month¡± was increasing. Second, as for the gender difference, women have maintained a certain ratio for the past 10 years, but the proportion of men is steadily decreasing compared with that of women. Third, as for the income group, frequent drinking was irrelevant to income, while daily drinking was positively correlated with income. Fourth, as for the household type, daily drinking rate of multiple household was gradually decreasing, while daily drinking rate of single household formed a M-shaped model. Fifth, as for the regional difference, frequent drinking and daily drinking trends shaped different progresses depending on the regions. Sixth, as for the life satisfaction of the respondents, the response was concentrated in the middle range of scores in most fields. Lastly, multiple variables such as gender, age, education level, religion, income level, household type, residential area, and life satisfaction showed a significant correlation with drinking frequency.
